Thanks for stopping by!

Hello and welcome to Travis Bealer Photography. My name is Travis and I’m a portrait/lifestyle photographer based in Seattle area. I am originally from a small town in Arkansas and moved to Seattle in 2015 to start a new life in the PNW. The stunning emerald surroundings of western Washington and the people who inhabit it are what inspired me to pick up a camera to capture life here.

I began my photography journey taking short video clips and photos of downtown Seattle, all taken from my phone camera. When i moved to Seattle in 2015, I worked for a produce stand in Pike Place Market. During my time at the market, i met so many cool people both famous and tourist. my life was changed when arrived in Washington.

When i left Arkansas, I had little idea of what to expect when I got to the big city. Once i was here, i felt compelled to take pictures and videos of the new place I called home, to show my friends and family why I moved here. From being able to walk down any street and see the Space Needle from different parts of town, seeing harbor seals at the Olympic Sculpture Park and the waves of Puget Sound, to looking from any hill in a southward direction to see the glorious natural wonder of Mt. Rainier, I felt that I needed to share what I got to see everyday, with everyone I knew.

This is what inspired me to find and pick up a camera to start documenting the life happening around me. In 2020, I found a Nikon d3100 with a 18-55m kit lens on Facebook marketplace for $100 and my life was changed. After about 6 months, I outgrew my D3100 and upgraded to a Nikon D5200 that came with a 55-200mm Kit Lens. This upgrade brought on what is now my current path of photography. I used that D5200 for 2 years. A friend of mine reached out to me, having enjoyed the photographs I was taking and posting, with a deal on a used camera he had lying around and wanted to know if I was interested. I couldn’t pass it up. Another 6 months later, I had finally saved enough For his offer. He had a Sony a6500 and a Sigma 16mm f1.4 prime lens. Switching from a DSLR to a mirrorless camera has given me what I was looking for with photography. I added a Sony 50mm f1.8 Prime and Sony 85mm f1.8 prime lens to my bag and my photography has taken off.

Lets flash forward to now, 2024. I’m starting a new chapter in my life. One where I do something I’ve only ever dreamed. I hope you’ve enjoyed visiting my first ever web page and I look forward to what the future holds!
